Safari Trotter, a privately-owned Botswana company, consists of a team of guides who have been on the field for decades. Each of our guides grew up learning all the bush tricks from their grandparents and continue to use the skills learnt from childhood on the safaris excursions they run. Our private guides at Safari Trotter lead many intimate trips across the African continent to ensure that your safari is a once in a lifetime experience.
We also offer tailor-made safari trips that cater to various occasions including family getaways, honeymoon and romantic breaks, corporate retreats, birdie adventures for enthusiasts. Lemme has been guiding professionally since 2007 and brings extensive experience across Botswana’s most iconic wilderness areas, including the Okavango Delta, Linyanti, and Kalahari ecosystems. His lifelong connection to the bush began in childhood, where he developed exceptional wildlife tracking skills and a deep appreciation for nature.
Known for his positive energy and adventurous spirit, Lemme combines expert guiding with a passion for conservation, astronomy, and wildlife photography. Guests value his ability to create engaging safari experiences while sharing a wealth of knowledge about Botswana’s landscapes and wildlife.
Thuto Moutloatse
Recognised by Outside Magazine as one of the world’s top adventure guides, Thuto is one of Botswana’s most sought-after private safari guides. With decades of experience leading safaris across the country’s diverse ecosystems, he is known for delivering exceptional wildlife encounters and unforgettable guest experiences.
His expertise spans wildlife tracking, birding, astronomy, and photography, making him a favourite among families, photographers, and seasoned safari travellers alike. Thuto’s enthusiasm, depth of knowledge, and larger-than-life personality ensure every safari is both educational and memorable.
Tebla Mokgosi
Born and raised in Maun, Tebla has spent his career guiding in many of Botswana’s premier wildlife destinations, including Moremi Game Reserve, Linyanti, Chitabe, Vumbura, Mombo, and Abu Camp. His local knowledge, professional training, and passion for wildlife make him an exceptional guide.
A dedicated wildlife photographer, Tebla enjoys helping guests improve their photography skills while capturing remarkable safari moments. His relaxed nature, enthusiasm for the bush, and attention to detail create rewarding experiences for both first-time visitors and seasoned safari enthusiasts.
Moses Teko
Moses began his safari career in 2007 with Wilderness Safaris and has since built an impressive track record across guiding, lodge management, guide training, and tourism leadership. His experience includes some of Botswana’s most respected safari camps and conservation-focused tourism operations.
Passionate about wildlife, conservation, and community empowerment, Moses focuses on delivering authentic safari experiences that connect guests with the natural world. His approachable style, leadership experience, and deep industry knowledge make him a trusted and engaging guide.
Vic Horatius
With more than two decades of safari industry experience, Vic is one of Botswana’s most respected private guides. His expertise spans walking safaris, wildlife photography, birding, and photographic expeditions across Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Rwanda.
Known for his calm leadership, patience, and exceptional ability to interpret the bush, Vic helps guests develop a deeper understanding of the natural world. His warm personality, extensive field experience, and passion for teaching make every safari both insightful and enjoyable.
Des Gotshajwang
Born and raised in Maun, Des has been guiding professionally since 2013 and has extensive experience throughout Botswana and Southern Africa. He previously served as Assistant Head Guide at one of Botswana’s premier luxury lodges and is highly regarded for his professionalism and guest-focused approach.
Specialising in private safaris, wildlife photography, birding, and ecology, Des tailors each experience to his guests’ interests. As a trained wildlife photographer and guide trainer, he combines technical expertise with a genuine passion for creating rewarding and memorable safari experiences.
Rachel Lemme
With over 10 years’ experience in the tourism industry, Rachel is an accomplished travel consultant. Her introduction to the travel industry was with a reputable local tour operator. She started out as a marketing executive and dealt mainly with international markets.
As an avid traveller herself, Rachel is currently in charge of identifying and tailor-making trips to the best interest of her clientele. She holds a degree in Mass Communication from Curtin University in Australia.
